My first gay marriage
Each wedding is unique and has its own history, but the one that I experienced this weekend was a first for me: I had the chance to capture a gay wedding.
Day 1: Civil Wedding in France
Having the right to say yes was not easy for Manuel and Olivier: Swiss law does not allow (yet?) Wedding between same-sex couples. Since that France voted in favor of marriage for all is in Evian that the two lovers are united. On the shores of Lake Geneva, the civil wedding took place in the presence of two families and a few friends.
Day 2: secular ceremony in the Lake Geneva region
A week after the civil wedding, the recent two married had invited all their friends to a secular celebration of their union. Once the preparations made at the hotel Beaurivage in Lausanne, then everyone been above Morges for a very emotional reception in the presence of a hundred people.
Through my work, I hope I have faithfully reproduce the beauty of these two days and especially what seemed obvious to everyone: there is nothing more beautiful than love, regardless of gender of people.
